As a young boy I’d spend hours down in my dad’s work bench tinkering with all sorts of materials. He had tons of wood scraps, screws, nails, wire, plumbing fittings, and a whole host of other things that I would use to build all sorts of creative things with. While my friends were playing video games, I was in the basement making my mom a handmade Nutcracker doll out of scrap wood for her Christmas gift…to this day my most prized piece of work!
I then spent all 4 yrs. of high school working at a lumber yard/hardware store. It was here that I continued to learn about the different building materials used in the various trades such as construction, plumbing, and electrical, and started doing small jobs on the side.
I would use all this life experience to completely transform the first home my wife and I purchased back in 2001. As newlyweds without a lot of money, we purchased what you might call a fixer-upper! I would spend the next 3 yrs. transforming our home, one room at a time.
Over the years I’ve done countless handyman/home improvement projects for friends, family, and others who had heard about my work.
My love for working with my hands and helping others, is what lead to start On Demand Handyman.
